Ed J. Coringrato - Chief Executive Officer, President

Ed Coringrato is a 23 year veteran of the telecom industry with more than half of his career in optoelectronics. He was a co-founder of CENiX, Inc., an optical start-up that was formed in 2000 to develop high-speed optical transponders, where he served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. His professional career includes 18 years at AT&T/Lucent Technologies where he held positions in engineering, marketing & sales, strategic planning and product management. Most recently he was Director of Strategic Planning & Business Development for Lucent’s Optoelectronics Group. Ed holds a BS degree in Industrial Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University.

Uzi Koren - Chief Technical Officer

Dr. Uzi Koren is widely regarded as one of the world's leading developers of active optical components, and an authority on Indium Phosphide telecommunications lasers. From 1983 to 1999 he was at Lucent Technologies/Bell Labs, where he was a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff, and a pioneer of the Lucent Electro-Absorption Modulated Laser (EML). Dr. Koren is a fellow of the OSA, and in 1992 received the IEEE Streifer award for development of photonic integrated circuits. He holds over 20 patents. Dr. Koren has a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from the Weizmann Institute.

Matthew C. Riley - Chief Financial Officer

Matt is a 30-year veteran of the telecom industry, having spent more than twenty years in various financial roles in the semiconductor business of AT&T, Lucent and Agere Systems. His most recent role was SVP & Controller of Agere during its successful separation and $4.2B IPO from Lucent Technologies. Prior to that he served as CFO of the Lucent Microelectronics Group which saw revenue grow to $3.5B in sales of both integrated circuits and optoelectronics components. During his career with Lucent Technologies and AT&T he held financial, information systems and strategic planning positions. Matt holds a Masters in Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Ali A. Abouzari - VP Sales

Ali Abouzari has held progressive positions over the past 24 years in product engineering, strategic planning, and sales and marketing. Prior to CyOptics, Ali was VP of Business Development, Sales and Marketing for Opticalis, launching US operations and recruiting the senior management team. Based in Tokyo, Ali served as Director of Marketing for Agere Systems, responsible for marketing initiatives and product strategies for the Microelectronics Group for the Asia/Pacific and China regions. At Lucent Microelectronics, he was responsible for marketing optoelectronics products worldwide to telecom and data networking customers such as Cisco, Alcatel and Nortel. For eight years Ali served as a product engineer in the PBX industry for Avaya. Ali holds a BA in Mathematics, a BS in Industrial Engineering, and an MS in Mechanical Engineering.
