10 Gb/Sec Transmission

CyOptics InP based electro-absorption modulated laser (EML) provides error free transmission over long reach (LR) span of optical fiber having optical dispersion up to 1600 ps/nm. This is achievable with high output power of 2dBm and in small form factor packages that have very low power dissipation.

Uncooled Directly Modulated Lasers and Detectors

CyOptics line of uncooled directly modulated lasers (DML’s) and detectors p-i-n diodes and avalanche photodiopdes are used for low cost applications such as fiber to the home and data-communication transceivers.  These products are sold as dies or transmitter optical sub assembly (TOSA) and receiver optical sub –assembly (ROSA) packages. Full spectral coverage for CWDM applications is provided.

Cooled DWDM Products

CyOptics has a full line of directly modulated lasers and EML’s for DWDM applications.

High Bit Rate Components

CyOptics is developing high bit rate TOSA and ROSA components (40-80Gb/s and higher) for high bit rate super computers interconnects and for high capacity data communication switches. At such high data rates, optical fiber has a clear advantage over copper wire in transmission distance. These applications require high degree of photonic integration in order to provide low cost (measured in dollars/Gb/s) enabling us to compete with copper wire solutions.
