High Bit Rate ComponentsCyOptics is developing high bit rate TOSA and ROSA components (40-80Gb/s and higher) for high bit rate super computers interconnects and for high capacity data communication switches. At such high data rates, optical fiber has a clear advantage over copper wire in transmission distance. These applications require high degree of photonic integration in order to provide low cost (measured in dollars/Gb/s) enabling us to compete with copper wire solutions.
